Power of Diversity Lecture Series

At Minnesota State Community and Technical College we offer a global view that encompasses all aspects of diversity and emphasizes the importance of including diverse experiences and cultures in our everyday lives. M State's "Power of Diversity Lecture Series" offers compelling speakers and topics focused on diversity, multicultural, social justice and civic engagement to provide our students, faculty, staff and administrators with the tools to actively participate in a global society. All lectures are FREE and open to the general public.


Anne Hoefgen: Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota, Oct 17

Join us on Monday, October 17 for a talk with Anne Hoefgen about legal services of Northwest Minnesota and legal services for people with low incomes. Anne Hoefgen is the Executive Director of Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota. Before becoming director in 2014, Anne was the Moorhead region supervising attorney for Legal Services and represented clients in housing, consumer and family law matters. Anne is a Wisconsin native and has called the Fargo-Moorhead area home for the last twelve years.

Rebecca Matinda: Black History & Leaders of Tomorrow

Please join us on Wednesday, February 22nd from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in room B154 (Moorhead Campus) as we commemorate Black History Month with a special program featuring the contributions of amazing Black Leaders, from Sojourner Truth, Rosa Park and Martin Luther King to President Barack Obama, along with our Power of Diversity Special Speaker, Rebecca Matinda, on "Leaders of Tomorrow." This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
