Academic honors

M State recognizes students for scholastic achievement through the President's List and Dean's List, which are compiled at the end of each fall and spring semester. The specific criteria used for inclusion in each of these lists is detailed below. 

Students named to the President's List have met the following criteria:

- Achieved a semester grade point average (GPA) of 4.00

- Completed 6 or more credits of college-level coursework during the semester

- Completed at least 75 percent of attempted courses during the semester (audit courses and incomplete grades are not included in the determination of GPA or credit load)

 

Students named to the Dean's List have met the following criteria: 

- Achieved a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 to 3.99

- Completed 6 or more credits of college-level coursework during the semester

- Completed at least 75 percent of attempted courses during the semester (audit courses and incomplete grades are not included in the determination of GPA or credit load)
