Professional information: Teaching since: 2004 Education: I am a 1983 graduate of Central Lakes College (formerly Staples Area Vocational and Technical Institute) in Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanics. Additional education: I am factory certified on Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Ford and Iveco diesel engines and have attended training seminars from many original equipment manufacturers including Case New Holland, John Deere, Bobcat and other major engine manufacturers. Prior work experience: Prior to teaching at M State, I spent 14 years at Boyer Ford Trucks in Minneapolis as a master journeyman technician and six years at Bauerly Brothers Construction in St. Cloud as an engine/field technician. I volunteered as a Skills USA judge when I worked at Boyer Trucks, and I am a Skills USA advisor at M State. Professional recognition: In 2015, I was recognized by the Minnesota State system as a Board of Trustees Outstanding Educator. Family: My wife, Angie, and I have two children, Megan and Nick. Hobbies: I love anything that involves being on the lake - fishing, boating, personal watercraft, skiing, you name it! I also enjoy attending and following NASCAR. Comments: I thoroughly enjoy teaching in the diesel technology field. Engines have been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I hope our students see that passion as I deliver our various courses.
