Christie Massen

Christie Massen is the program director for the Medical Laboratory Technician and Phlebotomy Technician programs at M State. She is a certified medical laboratory scientist and earned her master's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and Ph.D. in Teaching and Learning from the University of North Dakota. She previously was the MLT and PBT program director for M State and returned in 2017. In Bismarck, N.D., she worked for three years in a hospital as a medical laboratory scientist and teaching for the local medical laboratory technician program. In addition, she has worked for the North Dakota Department of Health for six years and served as the director of the microbiology laboratory. "I really enjoy training the future laboratory science professionals in the program here at M State. It is exciting to be a part of creating a future career for our students." Outside of work Christie enjoys bow hunting, quilting, scrapbooking and reading fiction.
