Our Human Resources degree and certificate programs will prepare you with the business knowledge and ethical decision-making, empathy, negotiation, financial management and strategic thinking skills you need to enjoy a successful career in the field.

Graduates of either of our two Human Resources associate degree programs are prepared for immediate entry- and mid-level positions as human resources specialists, or may transfer to a university to pursue an advanced degree in the field. The certificate program provides a basic understanding of key human resources practices and supports continued professional growth for those currently in the field; credits earned for the certificate are fully transferable into either of the two associate degree programs.

Whichever Human Resources degree or certificate program you choose, you’ll learn:

• Federal, state and local employment regulations and record-keeping requirements
• Effective communication skills, including interviewing, negotiation, presentation and training
• Research and construction of ethical policies and procedures related to employment processes, including talent acquisition, termination, performance evaluation, compensation, forecasting and benefit administration
• How to function effectively in a diverse global business community
• Technology used for business and human resource applications
• Critical thinking skills to analyze and solve human resource problems
