Loren Haagenson

Loren Haagenson has a master’s degree in management, with a concentration in human resources, from the University of Mary in North Dakota, and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Minnesota State University in Moorhead. Haagenson has been the human resource instructor and program advisor at M State since 2001. He has 10 years of professional human resources, training and development, and supervisory leadership experience in the construction and transportation industries. His teaching philosophy is that learning is directly related to the “realness” of the instructor, the level of trust and acceptance demonstrated in the classroom, and the amount of empathic understanding created by both the student and the instructor. He enjoys getting to know his students and supporting them in the achievement of their education and career goals.
