Business Transfer Pathway

You’ll develop a strong foundation of vital business knowledge and skills with this Transfer Pathway degree program, which seamlessly transfers into designated bachelor’s degree programs at any of the Minnesota State system's seven universities: Bemidji State University, Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University Mankato, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Southwest Minnesota State University, St. Cloud State University and Winona State University. 

Coursework emphasizes modern business practices in management, marketing, economics, accounting, technology and communications, setting you up for a smooth and successful transition as you continue on to pursue an advanced degree in business. When you complete the 60-credit associate degree program at M State, you are guaranteed junior-year status within your designated bachelor’s degree program; your 60 credits will directly transfer. 

Business graduates go on to enjoy careers in high-demand fields such as retail, hospitality, insurance, business-to-business, nonprofits and government. 

In the Business Transfer Pathway program, you'll learn to:

Earn College Credits in High School

High school students interested in pursuing a degree in business may be able to save time and money on their college experience by completing college credit-bearing coursework while still in high school, at no cost to them. M State collaborates with many high schools in the West Central Minnesota region to offer college-level academic programming. Course offerings vary by school and program.
