Meets MnTC Goal Areas 5 and 8. This course combines an on-campus component with a trip to Europe. During the on-campus portion of the course students will learn about major events in British and French history such as the French Revolution, the Napoleonic era, the War of the Roses and the reign of Henry VIII. After the on-campus component is completed, students embark on a 10-day trip to Paris and London, where they visit historical sites they studied during the on-campus portion of the course.

This course is designed to train the student in proper maintenance techniques for on- and off-road land-based recreational vehicles. Students are encouraged to bring their personal recreational vehicle(s) or use the up-to-date industry products that the college offers or both. Trailer maintenance also will be covered. This is an excellent course for getting equipment ready for an upcoming winter or summer season.

COSM1203 - Salon Practicum EstheticianCredits: 1 - 11
In this course, students work in a licensed school salon to meet requirements stipulated by the State Board of Cosmetology. The course includes instruction in applied science and skills in the procedures of cosmetic care of the skin, client consultation and skin analysis, applications of facials and makeup, waxing, and eyelash extensions. Each student is required to complete a specific minimum number of clinical exercises, as well as a minimum number of clinical hours, to fulfill requirements set by the State Board of Cosmetology.

In this course, students work in a licensed school salon to meet requirements stipulated by the State Board of Cosmetology. The course includes instruction in applied science and skills in cleaning, conditioning, shaping, reinforcing, coloring and enhancing of nails, and in the application and repair of artificial enhancements.
