LSR Bridge to Radiologic Technology
M State’s Limited Scope Radiography diploma program offers a bridge into the Radiologic Technology program for LSR program graduates who want to advance their careers with additional training.
Each year, up to 10 LSR graduates “bridge” into the Radiologic Technology program, where they join radiologic technology students in the final year of their program on M State's Detroit Lakes campus.
The selection process is point-based. Please thoroughly read all sections below to determine how points are awarded.
Successful LSR Bridge and Radiologic Technology program students graduate together with an AAS degree, prepared to work as entry-level radiologic technologists.
We are pleased you are considering M State and look forward to receiving your application. If you have questions about admission and program requirements, please call 877.450.3322 or email info@minnesota.edu.

Calculate points for admission to the LSR to Radiologic Technology Bridge program:
Selection process
Program applicants will be assigned points for prerequisite course completion, LSR course completion, HSRT-AD overall score, and optional admission criteria. The optional admission criteria is referred to as "beneficial admission criteria." To receive points, admission criteria must be completed and/or submitted by the application deadline.
The LSR to Radiologic Technology Application Assessment Points Calculator will assist you in determining how points are awarded.
All eligible applicants will be ranked by their total points earned.
In the case of one or more ties, an applicant's LSR GPA will be used as a tiebreaker.
If there are more eligible applicants than available seats by the application deadline, eligible applicants with the highest point total will be offered a seat first. Eligible applicants who do not get into the program due to the competition for a limited number of available seats will be placed on the waiting list. If a seat in the program opens, it will be offered to the student highest on the waiting list.
There are 10 available seats for the Fall 2026 LSR to Radiologic Technology Bridge program.
Each student who has submitted a complete admissions file by the posted deadline will receive an email from M State indicating whether they are accepted into the program, placed on the program waiting list or currently ineligible for the program.
Applicants will be notified of their application status within 14 days after the application deadline.
After acceptance to the bridge program, the following courses will be taken fall semester, in addition to clinicals:
- RADT 1240 Radiographic Procedures (4 credits)
