The Electrical Foundation course will cover the theory and practical operation of electricity. Multi-meters and test instruments will be used, giving students the solid foundation they will need to understand the more advanced electrical systems in their future course work.
  1. Exhibit safety precautions and professionalism.
  2. Explain the laws of electricity.
  3. Describe electrical circuits.
  4. Measure voltage, current and resistance using a multi-meter.
  5. Test electrical components.
  6. Perform electrical troubleshooting.
  7. Perform battery maintenance and testing.
  8. Utilize service literature for specifications and analysis.
  9. Perform voltage drop and amperage tests.
