Description
This course will provide the student with an introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts, terminology and application of best practices being used in the electrical industry.

Competencies
  1. Apply basic editing concepts using REVIT modify commands.
  2. Prepare simple electrical plans using REVIT basic drawing commands.
  3. Explain the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  4. Explain the use of PDF editing software for estimating and drawing review.
  5. Identify multiple modeling software utilized in BIM.
  6. Explain the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) in the building trades.
  7. Explain the use of total station or TST (Total Station Theodolite) in the building industry.
