Dental Assisting Program Application Assessment Points Calculator

Applicants to the M State Dental Assisting program are assigned points for the criteria below. Applicants who score the highest points will be selected for admission to the program. Use this form to calculate your points.

  • All documents and courses must be completed by the application deadline.
  • Applicants who are in the process of completing a college required course will not receive points for those courses.
  • In the case of a tie, the HSRT-AD overall score will be used to determine acceptance into the program.

Required Admission Criteria

These must be completed for consideration.

Math and English requirement

Math

Dental Assisting AAS – Eligible to take MATH 1020 or have Accuplacer, ACT scores, or a waiver on file

Dental Assisting Diploma – Eligible to take MATH 0085 or have Accuplacer, ACT scores, or a waiver on file

English

Eligible to take ENGL 1101 or have Accuplacer, ACT scores, or a waiver on file

Prerequisite courses

Science courses must have been completed within the last five years to be eligible for points.
