Hold codes

There are several reasons why holds are placed on accounts:

  • Registration holds relate to warning, probation or suspension
  • Admissions holds relate to issues such as missing immunization information or an incomplete assessment test
  • Business office holds relate to issues such as an unpaid balance on an account or overdue library materials
  • Financial aid holds relate to issues such financial aid suspension
  • Students taking a class at M State via the Tri-College University course exchange will have a hold placed on their account so that all registration changes and related account charges are processed through the Registrar's Office.

You can view a summary of any holds on your account by logging into SpartanNet and clicking on eServices. At the top of your dashboard, you will see any holds, the college or university where the hold was issued, and whether the hold will impact your ability to register for courses.

Please work with the appropriate department to resolve any holds on your account.
