Description
This course is designed to support students’ professional success and is divided into five key areas to help them prepare for professional success upon graduation. Students will research and explore various careers and fields, develop a personal brand that is unique and individual to their personality and professional goals, and establish a professional framework for career management and personal development.

  1. Recognize how awareness of personal attributes contributes to a deeper understanding of self and viable career options.
  2. Recognize key steps, strategies and factors that have been proven to facilitate a smooth career transition.
  3. Utilize various terminologies related to career development and transition, and integrate several practical tools and resources to facilitate career transition.
  4. Prepare a professional and targeted resume and cover letter that effectively demonstrate abilities, knowledge, experiences and accomplishments.
  5. Create attainable short-term goals and desired long-term goals based on outsights and insights into the development and establishment of a viable career plan.
  6. Analyze the importance of diversity and inclusion, multiculturalism in the workplace and overall organizational culture.
  7. Implement strategies for fostering skill development for career, education and life-work planning, and management of professional activities.
