Description
This course must be taken in conjunction with a linked section of College Algebra (MATH 1114) taught by the same instructor. It is comprised of skills such as graphing, interpreting the graphs of, evaluating and performing operations on different types of functions. It also includes skills for working with complex numbers and with rational and radical functions.

  1. Identify and evaluate functions in algebraic, numeric or graphic form.
  2. Graph and interpret the graphs of functions.
  3. Perform operations on functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  4. Solve quadratic equations using multiple methods.
  5. Perform long and synthetic division on polynomials.
  6. Perform operations on complex numbers such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  7. Simplify rational expressions and solve rational equations.
  8. Simplify radical expressions and solve radical equations.
