Purpose

To protect students and faculty from injury or harm and to ensure appropriate instruction before students enter lab or clinical settings.

Policy

College faculty/staff will ensure the appropriate use of safety equipment in all academic settings to protect themselves and their students from accidents. Students will receive training prior to engaging in any activity as to the appropriate use of equipment such as safety glasses, protective clothing, blood-contaminated disposables, etc.
