“Before coming to M State, I was studying electrical engineering at North Dakota State University (NDSU), but it just was not it for me. My dental hygienist told me I had the personality for dental hygiene and encouraged me to give it a try, so I did.

I’m from Bagley, Minnesota, and M State was right here. It turned out to be a really good fit. I like the smaller size of M State – it’s not overwhelming. Coming from NDSU, where I might have had one professor for 30 or 40 students, here we have an instructor for about 20 of us. You’re not just a number. You’re able to get more individual attention.

After I graduate, I plan to find a clinic and start working as a dental hygienist.”
