This course covers suspension and steering systems currently in use. Students learn suspension and steering designs and applications. The course covers vehicle alignments and alignment measurements, including: camber, caster, toe and advanced measurements.

Competencies
- Perform wheel alignment following manufacturer's specifications.
- Understand, diagnose and repair vehicle suspension concerns.
- Understand, diagnose and repair manual and power steering systems (electric and hydraulic).
- Exhibit safety precautions and professionalism. Maintain a clean and safe work space following OSHA and manufacturer guidelines.
- Understand, diagnose and repair vehicle load bearing components, including: leaf springs, struts, coil springs and related components.
- Understand and identify Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Understand and identify vehicle electronic suspension and steering control systems.
- Understand, diagnose and repair tire and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) concerns.
- Use service information to identify and repair vehicle suspension and steering systems.
