Description

This course covers the protocol and techniques for a full-body one-hour lymphatic drainage massage. Students will learn massage techniques for anatomy and physiology of the lymph system. Students also will gain hands-on exposure to massage on medically frail clients of all ages.

Competencies

  1. Safely perform lymph and hospice massage techniques.
  2. Assess client's level of frailty in hospice setting and determine which techniques will benefit client most and be most appropriate.
  3. Recognize the special needs of medical clients under hospice care.
  4. Develop clear and accurate documentation of all events and communications occurring during client's treatment session.
