Applicants to the M State Surgical Technology program are assigned points for the criteria below. Applicants who score the highest points will be selected for admission to the program. Use this form to calculate your points.

  • All documents and courses must be completed by the application deadline to earn points.
  • Applicants who have taken prerequisite courses with a different credit value at other institutions will use the set credit value of M State's course.
  • Refer to Surgical Technology admission requirements for details about eligibility and the selection process.

Math and English requirement

Math

Completed MATH 0095 or have Accuplacer, ACT score, or a waiver on file with placement into MATH 1020

English

Must have completed or tested out of ENGL 1101 College Writing

Prerequisite course completion

Science courses must have been completed within the last five years to be eligible for points.
