Medical Laboratory Technician Application Assessment Points Calculator

Applicants to the M State Medical Laboratory Technician program are assigned points for the criteria below. Applicants who score the highest points will be selected for admission to the program. Use this form to calculate your points.

  • All documents and courses must be completed by the application deadline.
  • Applicants who are in the process of completing a college required course will not receive points for those courses.
  • In the case of a tie, the HSRT-AD overall score will be used to determine acceptance into the program.

Required Admission Criteria

These requirements must be met for consideration.

Math and English requirement

Math

Completed MATH 1020 or have Accuplacer, ACT scores, or a waiver on file with placement into MATH 1114
English

Completed ENGL 0097 or have Accuplacer, ACT scores, or a waiver on file with placement into ENGL 1101
High school graduate

Beneficial Admission Criteria

These are not required, but can contribute to points for admission consideration. Applicants must meet a minimum of three points for admission to the program.

Applicants can collect points through the opportunities listed below. Additional points will be considered in application groups (cohorts) with competitive application cycles.
