M State website wins national digital marketing Gold Award
M State received a Gold Award in the 13th annual Education Digital Marketing Awards (EDM Awards) for its institutional website refresh.
This national competition, sponsored by the national Web Marketing Association, recognizes excellence in digital marketing across college, university and K-12 education, with entries evaluated by a panel of industry specialists and creative professionals.
M State’s Communications and Marketing Department, along with the Information Technology department, refreshed the college’s public-facing website in 2024 with a modern, student-centered design focused on clarity, accessibility and engagement. The redesign was informed by user testing and research to better meet the needs of prospective students, making it easier to explore programs, find information and take next steps like applying, requesting information or scheduling a visit.
Built with a mobile-first and search-first strategy, the refreshed website was noted for its bold visuals, improved navigation and fully responsive and accessible pages, ensuring a welcoming experience for all users at minnesota.edu.
