Probation: Now what?

M State's Satisfactory Academic Policy allows students to continue taking courses while on probation status as long as their semester performance reflects a 2.15 or greater grade point average (GPA) and a 75 percent or greater completion rate of the courses attempted for that semester.

If, at the end of the next evaluation period, the student has met the college's cumulative GPA and completion percentage standards, the student will be returned to good academic standing.

If, at the end of the next evaluation period, the student has not met the college's cumulative GPA and completion percentage standards and also has not met the minimum term requirements for a student on probation (minimum 2.15 term GPA and minimum 75 percent term completion rate), the student will be re-suspended.

Students who were previously on financial aid suspension and have not successfully appealed will remain on financial aid suspension. Students who have successfully appealed their financial aid suspension also will continue on financial aid probation, based on the previous semester's performance.
