Michael Rud is a graduate of Moorhead State Community and Technical College and has 30 years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry. He spent his early career working at two major dealerships before transitioning to the aftermarket sector, where he has specialized in the repair and maintenance of all makes and models.
Rud is ASE certified and holds advanced credentials in electric vehicle technology. He believes effective education bridges the gap between theory and real-world application, emphasizing hands-on learning, problem-solving and critical thinking. His goal is to prepare students for successful careers working with both traditional automotive systems and emerging technologies.
Outside the classroom, Rud enjoys hunting, fishing, ATV riding, motorcycles, hiking, traveling and working on vehicles.
