Kitty Lahti holds a bachelor's degree in animal science from Michigan State University and a master's degree in dairy science (genetics) from Virginia Tech.
Lahti's academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of biology, statistics and agriculture. Prior to joining M State in 2016, Lahti worked as a swine geneticist, taught online statistics for the University of Minnesota Crookston, and contributed to assessment development by writing test questions for Western Governors University.
