Jennifer Beyer teaches English and developmental reading at M State. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Bemidji State University and holds a Reading Specialist Certificate from St. Cloud State University. Beyer also serves as a CEP mentor, supporting students as they transition to college-level learning.
Beyer believes every student has something meaningful to say and can become a stronger writer and reader through practice, experimentation, support and persistence. In her classes, students actively engage with ideas, develop their own voices as readers and writers, and build the confidence and communication skills needed for success in college and beyond. She emphasizes growth, self-reflection and the use of effective learning strategies within a safe and respectful learning environment.
Outside the classroom, Beyer enjoys travel, photography, spending time in nature, attending rock concerts, and exploring developments in learning science and educational technology. An avid reader, writer and lifelong learner, she is always looking for new ways to grow both personally and professionally.
