Dr. Asenath Huether joined the Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State) faculty in 2020 as a psychology instructor and serves as the faculty advisor for the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Minnesota State University Moorhead and earned both her master’s and Ph.D. in psychology, specializing in visual and cognitive neurosciences, from North Dakota State University. Dr. Huether completed her graduate research assistantship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Sanford Health Parkinson’s Research Lab, where she contributed to studies on non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, including fatigue, orthostatic hypotension, and cognitive dysfunction. Her research also explores changes in visual attention and inhibitory processing in healthy aging. She has collaborated with interdisciplinary teams across institutions, including psychology, biomedical engineering, and kinesiology researchers at North Dakota State University, University of North Dakota, and Simon Fraser University. At M State, Dr. Huether teaches courses in abnormal psychology, general psychology, lifespan development, and statistics for the behavioral sciences.
