Dental Assisting Application Assessment Points Calculator

Applicants to the M State Dental Assisting program are assigned points for the criteria below. Applicants who score the highest points will be selected for admission to the program. Use this form to calculate your points.

  • All courses must be completed by the application deadline to earn points.
  • All repeated graded prerequisite courses (A-F) will be averaged.
  • All science courses must be completed within the last five years to be eligible for points.
  • Applicants who have taken prerequisite courses at other institutions with a different credit value will use the set credit value of M State’s course.
  • Refer to the Dental Assisting Admission Requirements for details regarding eligibility and the selection process.

Math and English requirement

Math

Dental Assisting AAS – Completion of MATH 0095 Elementary Algebra II or placement into MATH 1020 Intermediate Algebra

Dental Assisting Diploma – Completion of MATH 0070 Math Literacy or placement into MATH 0085 Elementary Algebra I

English

Completion of ENGL 1101 College Writing

Prerequisite course requirement

Science courses must have been completed within the last five years to be eligible for points.
