Policy

Each technical/occupational program is required to have an established advisory committee. Minnesota State Community and Technical College endorses the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Program Advisory Committee Handbook as the format for establishing and maintaining program advisory committees.

Purpose

To build strong partnerships between postsecondary educational institutions and employers, and to ensure programs produce graduates capable of performing in the occupations for which they have trained.

Responsibility

President or designee

Communicate policy to administrators and faculty.

Campus designee and Academic Dean

Communicate policy to faculty.

Faculty

Work with campus designee and/or Academic Dean to establish and maintain an advisory committee consistent with the format in the Minnesota State system Program Advisory Committee Handbook.
