Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) Admission Policy
Purpose
To provide eligible high school students the opportunity to take college courses in accordance with Minnesota State system board policy 3.5 Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) Programs and Minnesota Statute 124D.09 Postsecondary Enrollment Options Act.
Definitions
Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO)
College courses delivered on a campus or online by Minnesota State Community and Technical College faculty.
eCampus in the High School (eCHS)
College courses delivered online to participating high schools by Minnesota State Community and Technical College faculty.
Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP)
College courses taught in the high school classroom by qualified high school instructors.
Policy
Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) allows eligible students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades to earn both high school and college credit for college courses completed at a Minnesota State Community and Technical College campus or online, or through concurrent enrollment (at their high school).
Secondary students who wish to participate in PSEO programs must meet specific admissions and eligibility criteria outlined in the College’s PSEO Admissions Procedure. Students who do not meet eligibility requirements have the right to file an appeal. Students may enroll on a part-time or full-time basis.
Responsibility
Minnesota State Community and Technical College
Adhere to Minnesota State system policy and state statute to provide dual credit options to eligible high school students.
