| Responsibilities: |
|
- Provide administrative support in the areas of Curriculum and Instruction.
- Perform duties in support of the General Academic Administrative function.
- Provide administrative support to the Dean of Nursing in the area of staff activities.
- Other duties as requested.
- Must be able to travel to meetings.

| Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- English sufficient to fluently speak, write, read, understand and be understood
in responding to a variety of written and oral communications, questions, detailed
instructions and procedures.
- Customer Service Skills sufficient to provide information to clients, including
phone calls and walk-in contacts.
- Accounting/budget/expense skills to accurately track and record budgets to ensure
accurate record budget transactions, payment of all invoices, expense vouchers,
and supply and equipment order.
- Typing/keyboarding: (50 wpm) sufficient to produce documents, letters, and reports.
- Data Entry Performance skills sufficient to accurately enter data into spreadsheets
and databases.
- Word Processing sufficient to quickly and accurately produce technical/legal
documents, using proper business grammar, spelling, and usage.
- Spreadsheet experience sufficient to maintain data and produce reports.
- Desktop publishing.
- Database Management skills sufficient to develop and correctly enter information
in a database, produce ad-hoc queries, and develop reports for management use.
- Lead work skills (e.g. the experience, organizational and/ or personal skills
necessary to perform hiring, assigning work, directing, scheduling, and/or manage
an office).
- Driver’s license (possession of valid driver’s license).

| Preferred Qualifications: |
|
- Associate degree in administrative support or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible work experience in the area
of administrative support preferred.
- Substantial knowledge of office management principles and practices, sufficient
to identify and address problems, plan and organize multiple assigned projects,
and work efficiently, decisively and professional with all work assignments.
- Technologically competent in using various office hardware and software applications
to prepare complete charts, graphs, tables, etc.
- Broad knowledge of the documentation methods used in curriculum development and
modification.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive, positive and professional working
relationships with both internal and external customers of the college.
- Broad understanding of the mission, purpose and vision of the college.
- Knowledge about the documentation methods related to student records.
- Personal and professional integrity and ethics.

- Recruit students for Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies for multiple campuses of Minnesota
State Community and Technical College to ensure continued growth and strength
in enrollment numbers.
- Advise students to help them determine the campus and program that best meets
the student needs.
- Provide general admissions services to prospective students who are considering
attendance at the college, applicants to the college and students who are accepted
and enrolled at the college.
- Work with students through the admission and registration process.
- Develop relationships with area high schools and agencies and make recommendations
to change/enhance the primary MSCTC recruitment territory.
