Four campus foundations and the M State Foundation strive to bring support to the college and its students. With a proud history of dedication and service, the Fergus Area College Foundation has paved the way for community awareness and support. The newly established Moorhead Community and Technical College Foundation, Detroit Lakes Area College Foundation and Wadena Area College Foundation continue to build on their strong beginnings. The dedication and enthusiasm of the board members and the directors of advancement on each campus reflect the positive, growing relationship with our students and our supporters.
Minnesota State Community and Technical College is proud to serve our campus communities of Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena and our eCampus students. Consequently, four foundations were organized to benefit and support M State's mission by securing charitable gifts and grants for our four campuses and eCampus program in accordance with funding priorities established by the College.
In 2006, with significant help from the Otto Bremer Foundation, M State began a two-year process to review the status of the existing foundations and to investigate options for forming a college-wide foundation. The College was able to hire advancement staffing for each campus to work with each foundation board to strengthen individual campus success. These groups also provided representation on a task force that helped to acquire resources for the unique needs of each campus and to research the potential need for and distinct role of an overall college-wide foundation.
Today, alumni and friends of M State can participate in campus initiatives and scholarship programs through each individual campus foundation. College-wide programs supported by business and industry and scholarships for eCampus students are the primary focus of the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Foundation.
Many thanks for the dedication of the boards of directors and the generous donors who support all of these fundraising efforts. Please stay in touch and think seriously about donating to any of these foundations so that we can continue to serve the learning and economic development needs of our communities. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
