AMST2240 – Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning pdf

Description: This course teaches the principles of heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems. Types and designs, component variations, diagnosis, testing and repair are studied and practiced on functioning units. System performance, recovery, evacuation and recharging are also covered in depth.
Prerequisites: (None)
Corequisites: AMST1101 AND AMST1111

  3. Identify and explain operation of heating and air conditioning systems.
  4. Follow current rules and regulations for service of all heating and air conditioning systems.
  5. Correctly identify and perform cooling system service.
  6. Correctly identify air conditioning refrigerant types and repair procedures.
  7. Correctly perform evacuation and recharge of vehicle air conditioning systems to current regulations.
  8. Properly diagnose climate control systems using the latest electronic scan tools.
  9. Follow latest industry diagnostic and repair standards.
