M State prepares you to succeed in the business world with entrepreneurship programs designed for both employees and entrepreneurs launching their own ventures.

All of M State's Business Entrepreneurship degrees and programs are designed to provide you with the foundation you need to succeed in the business world, either as an employee or an entrepreneur starting a new venture. All five are offered on our Detroit Lakes campus and online.

Business Entrepreneurship
AAS, 60 credits
Learn the skills that entrepreneurs need for business and personal success, including assessing opportunities, obtaining financial resources, preparing business plans and marketing business ventures. You'll gain the skills and confidence to launch a new venture, grow an existing business or pursue an advanced degree.

Business Entrepreneurship
Diploma, 33 credits
Prepare to manage or own a small business in this diploma program, which focuses on both businesses management and management of personal affairs.

Entrepreneurship
Certificate, 18 credits
Prepare to launch a new business with a foundation in technology, marketing, business plan creation, financial statements and entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship Essentials
Certificate, 9 credits
Learn to assess new enterprise opportunities, enhance management skills and prepare a business plan.

Entrepreneurial Fundamentals
Certificate, 9 credits
Learn to assess new enterprise opportunities, obtain financial resources, understand the importance of customer service and prepare a business plan.

Financial aid eligibility

Because the Entrepreneurship Essentials (9 credits) and Entrepreneurial Fundamentals (9 credits) certificates are less than 15 credits, they may not be financial aid-eligible.
