Consider signing up for the 2020 Herdina Construction Trades Camp, where you'll get both hands-on experience and classroom instruction in a variety of specialty occupations in the residential and commercial construction industry.
This is the 23rd summer for the Herdina Trades Camp, where participants work side by side with contractors and industry professionals to learn about occupations, tools, safety requirements and skills required for a rewarding career in the construction trades.
The two-week camp is June 1-12 on M State’s Moorhead campus and is open to North Dakota and Minnesota residents ages 15 and older. Everyone who attends has the option of earning three credits that could be applied toward any degree in the trades at M State. Cost of the camp is $25.
Camp hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and participants will learn about:
- Print reading and building codes
- Concrete forming and finishing
- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning
- Structural steel
