M State students named to All-Minnesota Academic Team

April 21, 2021

Congratulations to the six M State students named to the 2020-21 All-Minnesota Academic Team in recognition of their leadership, campus involvement and community service!

They are among the 49 two-year Minnesota college students who were chosen for the academic award program, sponsored annually by USA Today, the American Association of Community Colleges and Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two-year colleges.

The awards recognize students in both transfer and workforce programs.

The six M State students, along with their campus and program, are:

Phi Theta Kappa traditionally holds a celebratory luncheon for All-Minnesota Academic Team members, but the celebration this year was via Zoom on April 16. Being nominated for the team makes students eligible to compete for more than $500,000 in national scholarship opportunities.

“The students who comprise the All-Minnesota Academic Team represent some of the best in Minnesota higher education,” said Phi Beta Kappa coordinator and advisor Jamie Mahlberg of Rochester Community and Technical College.
