M State graduates 851 in spring commencement ceremonies

Minnesota State Community and Technical College will award degrees to 851 graduates during spring commencement ceremonies on its four campuses Thursday and Friday, May 9 and 10.

Campus graduation events are open to the public and are scheduled for:

Fergus Falls: 3 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in the Spartan gymnasium. The student speaker is Katie Merrick (Liberal Arts and Sciences, AA), and the keynote speaker is M State alum Mark Lindquist. A reception will follow the ceremony in Legacy Hall.

Detroit Lakes: 7 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Detroit Lakes High School. The student speakers are Michele Webeck (Accounting, AAS) and Mary Jo Schaumburg (Radiologic Technology AAS).

Moorhead: 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Concordia College’s Memorial Auditorium. The student speakers are Alice Bjerk (Human Resources AS) and Moorhead Student Government Associate President Joshua Hansen (Liberal Arts and Sciences AA).

Wadena: 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Wadena-Deer Creek High School. The student speaker is Chelsie Isacson (Generic Nursing AS and Liberal Arts and Sciences AA).
