Join M State Theatre on a fast-paced romp through Shakespeare
Both fans and critics of Shakespeare will enjoy the M State Theatre Department’s upcoming production of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged),” a hilarious show that features all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays performed by nine actors in under 90 minutes.
The play has been described as “full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike.” Admission is free, and the public is welcome. Performances are in Waage Theatre on the Fergus Falls campus.
M State Theatre Director Stefanie Gerhardson said the play – one of the longest-running comedies on Broadway prior to the pandemic – is one of her favorites.
“It is just fun,” Gerhardson said. “Fun for the actors, fun for the director, fun for the crew and, most importantly, fun for the audience.”
Cast members are Austin Hess-Jensen and Andrew Rasmusson (Fergus Falls); Devin Cordahl (Park Rapids); Jeremiah Kratzke (Detroit Lakes); Liam Despard and Christian Rose (Henning); Rachel Wiebe (Wadena); Skylar Kehoe (Johnson); and Mary Dahl and Nikki Jorud (Battle Lake).
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5-6, and Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12-13, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14.
Theatergoers should be aware that face coverings are required on all M State campuses.
