FACF workshop offers scholarship advice for M State Fergus Falls students

Fergus Area College Foundation’s “How to Apply for FREE $” workshop is set for 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, at M State Fergus Falls.

The free workshop is for students who are planning to attend M State’s Fergus Falls campus in the fall of 2019. Students (and their parents) will learn how to start the application process for FACF scholarships, and FACF representatives will be on hand to answer questions.

FACF offers a variety of scholarships to both first- and second-year students who are registered for at least eight credits on the Fergus Falls campus. Scholarships are based on factors including:

  • Academics (GPA of 2.5 or higher)
  • Leadership performance
  • Special interests, including fine arts
  • Choice of M State program
  • Home community or high school
  • Financial need

The workshop will be in the L100 computer lab, and students should bring their most recent transcript if it’s available electronically. Preregistration is not required.
