Eighty-nine recipients of scholarships totaling $140,000 were recognized during Fergus Area College Foundation’s annual scholarship reception Nov. 14 on the Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
The event celebrates both scholarship donors and recipients and allows attendees to learn more about how foundation donors help support students and the campus. The student guests were recipients of scholarships for the 2019-20 academic year.
“Each year, thanks to their generosity, friends of FACF are able to support students’ academic goals with scholarship awards,” said Lori Larson, executive director of the foundation. “Through these scholarships, Fergus Falls Spartans are able to reach higher, achieve more and fulfill their academic dreams.”
FACF offers more than 90 scholarships for both first- and second-year students for classes taken on the Fergus Falls campus. The FACF scholarship application for the 2020-21 academic year is now open.
