Community invited to join MLK Day conversation
M State’s Office of Equity and Inclusion is partnering with the Afro American Development Association and the M State Student Government Association to host a virtual “Moorhead Community Conversation” from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18.
Community members are invited to join in the Martin Luther King, Jr., Day conversation with Cani Adan, program coordinator of the Afro American Development Association, and Madison Jansky, M State’s associate director of equity and inclusion.
The conversation will include an introduction of the new director of equity and inclusion for the Moorhead Public Schools, opportunities for community activism, a message for youth in the community and time for open dialogue among community members. It is open to not only Moorhead residents, but to everyone in the area.
“We welcome any and all to this event, and our hope is for everyone to walk away feeling good with lots of new information to get involved in your own community and share with others," Jansky said.
