Come enjoy some of the best artwork by area high school students when the 6A Regional Art Show opens Tuesday, Feb. 18, on the Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
The Regional Art Show, sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League, includes works by students attending Battle Lake, Brandon-Evansville, Hillcrest, Minnewaska, Morris, Parkers Prairie, West Central Area and Underwood high schools. Art instructors at each school selected up to 18 student works for the show.
Winning entries will advance to the state high school art show in May.
“This event has been a great addition to the Minnesota State High School League,” said Underwood art instructor Jonathan Hartman. “The Regional Art Show allows students to display their talents not seen on a court or field of play, but in the arts.”
The art show continues through Tuesday, March 31, in the Charles Beck Gallery, and awards will be presented Tuesday, March 31, during the M State Fine Arts Showcase. Admission is free.
