Check out M State scholarship opportunities for 2021-22

January 13, 2021

Thanks to M State scholarships and financial aid, 41 percent of degree-seeking students attended M State tuition-free in 2020, and the college’s two foundations are preparing for the next round of scholarship awards for the upcoming fall semester.

Together, Fergus Area College Foundation and M State Foundation awarded $294,000 to students on the M State campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena in 2020-21. The total included $241,000 in scholarships from FACF and $53,000 from M State Foundation

Scholarship applications for the 2021-22 academic year are already being accepted by FACF, which allows Fergus Falls campus students to apply for more than 100 scholarships with a single application. FACF’s priority scholarship deadline is April 1, but scholarships will be awarded through July 15 if funding is available.

For students on M State’s Detroit Lakes, Moorhead and Wadena campuses, the application period for scholarships through the M State Foundation and Alumni is open March 1 through April 23. A link to the scholarship application will go live on March 1.

In addition to scholarships, numerous business and industry partner sponsorships also are available for students in specific  programs.
