M State celebrates graduation in ceremonies May 2-8

Minnesota State Community and Technical College will award 810 degrees to graduating students during spring commencement ceremonies on its four campuses May 2-8.

Campus graduation events are open to the public and are scheduled for:

Detroit Lakes: 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Detroit Lakes High School. The student speaker is Andrew Hanson (Architectural Drafting and Design, Associate of Applied Science degree).

Fergus Falls: 3 p.m. Thursday, May 3, in the Spartan gymnasium. The student speakers are Nikola Schulz (Associate of Arts degree) and Titus Torkelson (Associate of Fine Arts and AA degrees), and the keynote speaker is Dr. Joshua Overgaard, an M State alum. A reception will follow the ceremony in Legacy Hall.

Wadena: 5 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the Wadena-Deer Creek High School. The student speaker is Shane Motschenbacher (Business Associate of Science degree).

Moorhead: 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Concordia College’s Memorial Auditorium. The student speaker is Mehria Azizi (Medical Administrative Assistant AAS degree).
