Community invited to M State faculty piano recital
The community is invited to a faculty piano recital presented by Dr. Kevin Priebe at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, in Waage Theatre on the Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College. The recital will feature works by Mozart, Haydn, Schubert and Beethoven, and there is no charge for admission. Priebe heads the Piano Area of the M State Music Department and teaches piano lessons, class piano and music history. He is an accompanist at M State and an active soloist and collaborative artist in the community. Priebe has taught courses online and at all four campuses of M State. He is a piano instructor at Concordia College and has taught previously at Minnesota State University Moorhead, as well as the University of Iowa as a teaching assistant. He received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall.
