Spartan golfers compete in national tournament for sixth straight year

Spartan golfers celebrated their win in the Region 13 championship.

The Spartan golfers qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Championship tournament, held in Chautauqua, N.Y., by winning the Region XIII and MCAC championship in October.

M State won the national championship in 2012 and finished third in 2016. The Spartans have finished in the top five for five consecutive years.

Competing for the Spartans (pictured, left to right) are Kyle Boe, Will Tickel, Chris Swenson, Mason Landborg and Nick Kress. The team is led by head coach Jason Retzlaff and assistant Jeff Haukos.
