Six earn top honors at national business skills competition

Six students from the Moorhead campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College earned top honors in the business skills competition held during the recent Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla.

Placing in the Top 10 for M State were:

Makenna Domier of Mahnomen, 7th in Fundamental Spreadsheets.

Brock Ferebee of Fargo, 3rd in Business Law & Ethics and 7th in Contemporary Issues.

Amanda Jacobs of Harwood, N.D., 8th in Income Tax Accounting.

Hanna Jenson of Detroit Lakes, 9th in Income Tax Accounting.

Paige Bellamy of Detroit Lakes, Brock Ferebee, Hanna Jenson and Mark Maine of Valley City, N.D., 5th in Small Business Management Team.

BPA is a national student organization designed to prepare its members for business careers through the development of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills. M State accounting instructor Nancy Stigen advises the Moorhead chapter.
