M State Concert Band annual Spring Concert set for April 30

The Minnesota State Community and Technical College Concert Band celebrates the season with its annual Spring Band Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, in Waage Theatre on the Fergus Falls campus.

The concert features numbers including Where the Black Hawk Soars by Robert W. Smith, Southern Hymn by Samuel R. Hazo, American Riversongs by Pierre LaPlante, Prelude and Fugue in G Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, First Suite in E-flat by Gustav Holst and Hey Jude by John Lennon and Paul McCartney featuring saxophonist Kris Lein. Bugler’s Holiday by Leroy Anderson will feature the talents of Dave Prazak, Tim Rostad and Levi Soydara on trumpet.

The Concert Band is directed by Scott Kummrow.

Tickets are $9 in advance and $11 at the door for adults, and $7 in advance and $8 at the door for students. Advance tickets are available in the M State Box Office, by calling 218.736.1600 or online at mstatetickets.com.
