Minnesota State Community and Technical College political science and history instructor Mark Johnson has been named to the six-person editorial team of the national Journal of Political Science Education.
The appointment was announced by the American Political Science Association, the leading professional organization for the study of political science. Johnson is the only community college instructor named to the editorial team, described by the search committee as “a highly experienced editorial team who bring together impressive breadth and depth of experience.”
The goal of the APSA is to bring together all political scientists to deepen understanding of politics, democracy and citizenship throughout the world.
In 2015, Johnson was the first community college instructor elected to serve as national chair for the APSA’s Teaching and Learning Conference in Washington, D.C.
