M State prepared to assist former ITT students

here2helpMinnesota State Community and Technical College is prepared to assist students whose college education plans have been disrupted by the recent closing of ITT Educational Services.

M State offers more than 300 classes and 25 programs and majors that can be completed online, and numerous M State courses can be taken through a combination of online and on-campus requirements at its campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena.

“M State’s registrar’s office and transfer specialists understand that these displaced students are enduring a fair amount of stress as they seek quality institutions where they might complete their educational goals,” M State Registrar Sharlene Allen said. “Our teams are ready to welcome these students and expedite transcript evaluation in a compassionate manner.”

For information about transferring ITT credits or enrolling at M State, contact the M State Support Center at 877.450.3322 or visit Minnesota.edu/transfer.

ITT, which had two campuses in the Twin Cities, announced Sept. 6 that it was closing after it was sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Education and banned from enrolling new students using federal aid.
